The care and assistance activity guaranteed in the hospitals of the ‘San Carlo’ regional hospital will be even stronger: from May, specialist outpatient services will also be added to the clinics already active in the hospitals of Potenza, Lagonegro and Pescopagano the hospitals of Melfi and Villa d’Agri, thanks to the availability of the operational unit of Pneumology directed by Dr. Raimondo Battiloro.

“With satisfaction and a sense of responsibility – states the director of Pneumology of the ‘San Carlo’ company Raimondo Battiloro – our department responded positively to the stimuli of the strategic company management, so that the activation of a Pneumology clinic also in the hospitals of Melfi and Villa d’Agri, in addition to the one already active in Potenza, was able to satisfy the increasingly diversified, complex and multidisciplinary demand for health. Thanks to the availability of adequate equipment – continues Doctor Battiloro – at the ‘San Pio da Pietrelcina’ hospital in Villa d’Agri, from May, on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month, second level respiratory physiopathology services will be possible (global spirometry, alveolo-capillary diffusion, blood gas analysis, walking test).
