The 34th day of the Serie A championship ended this evening with the last scheduled match. Genoa-Cagliari took place at Marassi: the Ligurians won 3-0 with goals from Thorsby, Frendrup and Gudmundsson. The Sardinians thus remain in the relegation zone (ALL SERIE A HIGHLIGHTS). This round of the championship began on Friday with the match between Frosinone and Salernitana (with the victory of the Ciociari team which confirmed the mathematical relegation of the Campanians to Serie B), then on Saturday Lecce-Monza took place, which ended 1-1, the big match Juventus-Milan which did not go beyond 0-0. Genoa broke the deadlock in the 17th minute: Sabelli’s cross for Thorsby’s header which found the bottom corner. 10 minutes pass and the hosts double their lead: action on the left with Vasquez passing in the middle for Frendrup who scores with his right. In the second half the script didn’t change and the Ligurians also found a trio with Gudmundsson.
