At the Heritage Directorate of the Municipality of Taranto, Marcello Murgia, heritage councilor, promoted a technical meeting of fundamental importance. Also present were Giuseppe Cervellera, responsible for the administrative procedure of the Municipality of Taranto, the regional director of Arpal, the regional agency for active labor policies, the director and manager of the CPI Taranto and the representatives of CGIL, CISL and UIL.
The meeting placed two crucial topics on the agenda: the launch of the new GOL Program and the logistical arrangement of the Taranto Placement offices. It was announced that the technical requirements, compliant with current legislation, will lead to the delivery of the municipal property in Via Veneto to Arpal for the setting up of the new offices of the Taranto Employment Centre.
The Municipality of Taranto, led by Mayor Melucci, offered three additional spaces to set up twelve workstations immediately, thus allowing the start of the ministerial project called the GOL Program. The latter is a reform action envisaged by Italy’s National Recovery and Resilience Plan, Mission 5, Component 1, aimed at renewing active employment policy services. The GOL Program focuses on the personalization of services, guaranteeing each citizen a personalized training course of approximately 3 hours, after a careful assessment of employability.
Councilor Murgia also asked the Regional Director of Arpal regarding possible new hiring policies to strengthen the Taranto Employment Centre. In response, the scrolling of an already active regional ranking for 50 new hires also destined for Taranto was confirmed. Furthermore, the organization of a new public competition for the hiring of employees for Arpal’s provincial offices, including that of Taranto, was announced.
The technical table will meet again on May 13th, with the aim of monitoring the progress of the works together with Arpal and the Unions, with the aim of providing concrete answers to the citizens of Taranto.
