The semi-finals and final of the Serie B Promotion Championship took place on Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th May and the FIB organized everything at the Quadrifoglio in Fagagna using the four lanes of the bowling alley and the other four external ones at the same time. Undoubtedly a significant choice because the splendid structure managed and directed for many years by the Ziraldo family has hosted many important competitions and has always produced national and world champions who have done honor not only to bowls in the north-east but throughout the nation.

Unfortunately, however, he did not take into account that on the same days three important category pairs competitions were already on the calendar and scheduled in the region.

In the semi-finals Triestina was blocked 15 – 7 by Tre Stelle of Ronchi and Portuale Bocce in turn 12 – 2 by Pasch of Pordenone, in the final then Pasch was promoted which overcame Tre Stelle 12 – 10.

For the Julian colors it is still a good result, having reached the semi-finals is a significant achievement but, as we all know, the appetite comes with eating and our players were perhaps looking higher but in all honesty it is the Three Stars that Pasch deserved the result they achieved on the field and there is absolutely nothing to complain about, let’s in any case take a quick look at the match scores drawn up by Messrs. Alceo Cargnello, Roberto Rosa-Gastaldo and Ivano Beraldo, directors of the three matches.

Nothing to do for the Portuale against a Pasch team that is decidedly in good shape and well motivated, only the president Giulio Giraldi manages to beat Gardonio 7 to 3 and collect the only two useful points and the match therefore ends 12 to 2 in favor of Pasch.
