“For the first time ever, all Tari rates, both domestic and non-domestic, are falling. This was possible because we expanded the tax base, meaning there are more users.” This was communicated by the Budget Councilor, Alessandro Fiorentino, who brought the topic to the afternoon city council meeting with the minority did not oppose and abstained.

“We have 1,853 more domestic users than last year,” adds Fiorentino, “since, thanks to painstaking work by our office, we managed to track down some of the so-called ‘crafty people’, 981.”

“The objective I set for myself, that is to recover total tax evaders from the underground economy, is starting to bear fruit. For the rest, these are new users who have self-reported, i.e. new residents. The payment installments remain unchanged: 30 September and 31 December.

As explained in my speech during the city council – adds Fiorentino – domestic tariffs will see a reduction of several percentage points in all the hypotheses considered, both for the quotas per square meter and for the number of family members. We have also reduced non-domestic tariffs, therefore for all the city’s activities, maintaining the same services.”

For the Budget Councilor this is “an unprecedented success for Mayor Nizzi and the council which works hard, speaks little and brings home important results from which all citizens benefit”.
