PORCIA – Madness on the Venice-Udine train. Engaged couple slaps the conductor, then punches a passenger and his wife. Arrested. They attacked some passengers on a train causing wounds that healed in 30 days to a man and in 5 days to his wife, and also the conductor, slapping and pushing her; on another occasion, however, they stole tools from a house. For this reason, a 37-year-old man and his 27-year-old girlfriend, living together in Porcia, were arrested by the Carabinieri of the Radiomobile Aliquota of Sacile who carried out two precautionary measures in prison issued by the investigating judge of the Court of Pordenone, Rodolfo Piccin, at the request of prosecutor Faion. The man was transferred to the Pordenone prison, the woman to the Trieste prison.

The facts

In the late evening of March 5, the train conductor of the Venice-Udine convoy reported to 112 the presence of two violent passengers on board. The train conductor had intervened following a report from a passenger who had noticed a girl opening one of the external doors of the train by activating the emergency brake, even though the vehicle was still moving. She had thrown herself against the conductor, pushing and slapping her and then against the passenger with punches and kicks and finally against his wife, sitting next to him. The attackers also tried to take possession of their bags, but failed. The intervention of other passengers had stopped the attack. The Carabinieri intervened at the Sacile station and identified the two, who already had numerous police and criminal records relating to narcotics. The two passengers had suffered fractures and bruises and had filed a complaint, as had the conductor. The couple had therefore been reported for the crimes of violence against a public official, interruption of public service, personal injury and attempted robbery. On March 7, two days later, at night the Carabinieri tracked down the couple who had hidden after stealing various tools from a house in via Vallenoncello in Pordenone. The man was also in the Municipality of Pordenone in violation of the expulsion order for one year issued by the Police Commissioner of Pordenone and notified to him in July 2023. The two had been reported for residential burglary, receiving stolen goods and violation of the expulsion order.
