«We run alone if Aliano doesn’t pass»

In Montesilvano the League claims the choice of the mayoral candidate for the municipal elections in June: “We will run alone if Aliano doesn’t pass”

It is becoming increasingly difficult to find a solution for the centre-right in reference to the municipal elections of Montesilvano (Pescara) next June: now the League, which claims the choice of the mayoral candidate, while underlining that it is working on unity, says it is ready to run from alone if the breakfast does not accept the decision to focus on the former city councilor Anthony Aliano in place of the outgoing mayor, Ottavio De
Martinis, who is also president of the Province.

The leadership of Fratelli d’Italia insists on De Martinis, who also threatens to run alone with a civic list, even if part of the party would be inclined to support Aliano. The same thing would happen in Forza Italia.

«The League works for the unity of the coalition and for the best possible program for Montesilvano», explains the provincial secretary of the Pescara League in a note, Emanuele Evangelista. «I am confident that our allies will share our reflections, ensuring the compactness of the center-right, and that they will give their support to the candidacy of Anthony Aliano. The League will work until the last minute to unite the coalition, but at the same time, if our legitimate requests are not taken into consideration, we are ready to run alone in the name of coherence, for the good of the city and for the credibility of the parties”.
