Billie Eilish returns to Italy for the tour of the new album Hit Me Hard and Soft. From the small clubs in Milan where he already performed in 2018, the iconic pop star of Generation Z, twice winner of the Oscar for best song with his brother Finneas, arrives at the Unipol Arena in Bologna.
The date is still far away, June 8th 2025, but tickets will already be available from 12pm on May 2nd, even before the release of the album, for which Eilish has chosen not to release singles or other material promotional. Hit Me Hard and Soft it will be available, in fact, from May 17th.
It will therefore be a surprise for fans who have been waiting for a new studio work afterwards for a long time Happier Than Everreleased three years ago now, in 2021. The singer’s third album comes after a dark period and profound insecurities, which the singer-songwriter also spoke about on the occasion of the Oscar campaign What I Was Made For?the original song made for Barbie by Greta Gerwig.

Hit Me Hard and Soft it’s the attempt to “find the girl I was”, declared Billie Eilish in one of the first interviews dedicated to the album. “I feel like this album is me. She is not a character,” she added in the same chat with Rolling Stones. It is, therefore, a process that musically takes her back to her origins, at least according to her intentions. Closer to the early Billie Eilish of When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? than to the one known as an international pop star.
In the decision not to release any preview single, the singer also shows a precise artistic project which, as she declared, must be listened to in its entirety and in its consequentiality. That is, according to the artist, each song makes sense in the context of the album itself: “It’s like a family, I don’t want a child (a song, ed.) remains alone in the middle of the room.”
