The San Ceriago Stockfish Festival is also back in 2024, now in its fourth edition.
The event, conceived and organized by the Accademia dello Stockfisso all’Anconitana, will take place from 2 to 12 May, with the involvement of twenty-nine restaurants, mostly from the capital, but also from nearby towns, such as Jesi, Morro D’ Alba, Camerano and Staffolo.

For all fans of the traditional Ancona dish, the formula already adopted in previous years is confirmed: the participating restaurants will offer a cod menu at an agreed price (28 euros), consisting of entrée, cod and potatoes, a glass of wine, bread, water , coffee.

The Stockfish Academy in Anconitana
The Academy was born on 31 January 1997, when Terenzio Montesi, Roberto Farroni, Gualberto Compagnucci and Amleto Roscioni registered the Statute, which, in article 2, illustrates the fundamental purpose: to protect the typicality of the dish.
Respecting the richness of the culinary traditions of the different realities and families of the territory, the Academy indicated the ingredients characterizing the dish and not the methods of preparation, thus bringing out the various interpretations deriving from the history and culture of the territory, in the awareness that each dish handed down by tradition is the result of the commitment of generations. The history of the dish and the numerous initiatives implemented every year are traced on the Academy’s website.
