Good performance by the little amaranth wrestlers in the Romagna region, first outing of the year for them. Four bronze medals with Frequentini, Scapecchi, Coradeschi and Caneschi.

One hundred and fifty very young athletes from central and northern Italy met in Modigliana for the 33rd Athena Trophy. The Chimera fielded seven little athletes.

These are the results of the Arezzo wrestlers:

Children’s category, 27kg. Aeneas Pietro Pasquini fifth place;

Boys category, 34kg. Nicola Frequentini third place,

38kg. Ettore Scapecchi third place,

38kg. Enea Coradeschi third place,

38kg. Sebastiano De Sanctis fifth place;

42kg. Tommaso Caneschi third place;

Beginners category 44kg. Tommaso Poggiaroni fourth place.

The technician Roberto Stopponi summarizes this way: “Not bad our boys performed well in the match, we still noticed some gross errors, we’ll have to work on them more in training. Unfortunately we don’t have many tournaments for these age groups that allow us to test their preparation. We’ll do it again soon“.
