Coupé of the Biancheri administration which, less than two months after the end of its double mandate, puts its hand to the Tari tariffs adjusting them downwards. An always thorny topic in the city, especially in light of past increases and also the calculation error that had led to a different organization of the installments.

With one of its latest acts signed by Biancheri, Palazzo Bellevue has adjusted the waste tax in the name of “less”, thus going against the trend of many administrations in the area. Not a sensational saving, but at least there will be no new increases in a historical period in which expenses are weighing heavily on families’ accounts.

Here, then, the new Tari tariffs developed by the Municipality of Sanremo provide: (in brackets the difference with the 2023 tariffs):
– 1 occupant €2.85/m2 (-0.9%)
– 2 occupants €4.40/m2 (-0.8%)
– 3 occupants €4.92/m2 (-0.7%)
– 4 occupants €5.33/m2 (-0.7%)
– 5 occupants €5.74/m2 (-0.7%)
As regards the production categories, however, the greatest decrease will be to the benefit of activities fruit and vegetables, fishmonger And gastronomy (-0.10 €/m2), per Cafe And restaurants (-0.09% €/m2) and, finally, for discos, game rooms, casino And recreational clubs (-0.07 €/m2).

The first change to the regulation concerns accessory utilities to domestic utilities such as garages, cellars and attics which have been reduced to the size of a unit of components as if each appliance were attributable to single-component families because they are not very productive of waste – Simone Pellegrin, consultant of the Municipality of Sanremo, explained to the first commission – the second concerns theflat-rate allocation of inhabitants where there is no nucleus of inhabitants. All homes of non-residents in the area are residents but are not permanent homes such as second homes of residents. Based on the observations it was decided to make a change that would create a band with two occupants present for homes up to 30 square meters. Then there is the band from 30 to 60 square meters which does not change with a presumption of occupancy of three, while the next band which reaches 90 square meters has been expanded. This is to create equally sized bands. These are changes which then have consequences on the calculation of tariffs and we have a reduction linked to the lower presumed production of waste”.

The coefficients were kept in line, there was a very slight compression of the Tari financial plan which constitutes the starting point for the processing of tariffs – added Pellegrin regarding the new tariffs – this reverberated within the floor of the rates that undergo a slight decrease for domestic users around 3 cents per square meter and more importantly for non-domestic users, between 9 and 10 cents. This picture goes against the trend I also respect the Municipalities of the same basin”.

Now, after the discussion in the first commission (split in two between Monday and Tuesday due to a bureaucratic technicality), the matter will pass to the city council, the last of the Biancheri era.
