Two entrepreneurs are under house arrest and four others have been subjected to the precautionary measure of compulsory residence, in addition to the seizure of 120 thousand euros and two supermarkets. It is the outcome of the investigation by the Prosecutor’s Office of Naples North and the Guardia di Finanza of Caserta (Aversa Group) into a system of tax fraud and money laundering set up by entrepreneurs operating in the Caserta area in the food distribution sector; proceedings are also brought against them for destructive fraudulent bankruptcy. The restrictive measures were issued by the judge for preliminary investigations of the court of Naples North at the request of the Prosecutor’s Office. The confirmed tax fraud amounts to 337 thousand euros. The investigation started from the bankruptcy of a company that owned two supermarkets. The financiers discovered that the directors had emptied the company of all assets without paying any tax obligations and with the aim of saving them from the execution of creditors, then re-injecting assets and money into three other companies which turned out to be simple clones of the failed one; there was therefore full continuity between the various corporate structures. The debt towards credit was 654 thousand euros. In the end, two clone companies were seized – whose administrative responsibility was contested as a consequence of the self-laundering crime committed by the top management – with two supermarkets, whose activity, however, was not stopped and will continue with an administrator appointed by the investigating judge. In relation to the high protests, they were subjected to house arrest MP And PVdirectors in law and in fact of the companies involved, as well as the extent of the residence obligation LRK, MP, PG and MP, also entrepreneurs operating in the supermarket sector who competed with the former in committing the offenses in question. At the same time, two clone companies of the bankrupt company, based in Aversa, were seized and the direct and equivalent preventive seizure of sums totaling 120,325 euros was ordered.
