AND Beatrice Agata Mariano the new vice-prefect of Bergamo. Recently turned sixty, the woman originally from Lecce has a thirty-year prefectural career behind her. Today, Monday 29 April, the Prefect gave the assignment Giuseppe Forlenza he expressed his best wishes for good work «certain that Dr. Mariano will be able to manage the delicate role that awaits her with professionalism and commitment, in the interest of the public good and the province of Bergamo».
The carreer
Dr. Mariano worked for many years, from 2003 to 2022, at the prefecture of Lecce, where she held numerous positions: manager in staff position at the Cabinet Office, manager of Area V Civil Protection, Civil Defense and Coordination of public assistance, deputy head of Cabinet and manager of Area II bis Liaison with local authorities; electoral and referendum consultations. She was promoted to vice prefect in 2015, she assumed the role of head of Cabinet and, in 2022, that of deputy prefect.
In 2019 and 2020, he held the role of extraordinary commissioner of the municipalities of Cutrofiano, Campi Salentina, Specchia, Alezia, Santa Cesarea Terme and of sub-commissioner in the municipalities of Monteroni di Lecce and Galatina.

In March 2023 she was assigned to the prefecture of Pesaro and Urbino, where she held the role of deputy Prefect-coordinator, from 2024, that of Director of Area IV Protection of Civil Rights, Citizenship and Immigration.
