Crotone – On April 27, 2024, the Olimpia gym in Crotone was the scene of an event of fundamental importance for the local community: a BLSD-PBLSD training course which saw the participation of around twenty learners, including health workers and lay people, eager to learn life-saving maneuvers.
The event involved the participants for 6 hours, demonstrating considerable commitment and dedication to the cause of public health. The course was masterfully taught by the Course and Center Directors, Dr. Anna Maria Sulla and Dr. Giovanni Capocasale, together with the team of national SIMEUP Crotone instructors.
BLSD (Basic Life Support Defibrillation) and PBLSD (Pediatric Basic Life Support Defibrillation) are essential emergency protocols for saving lives in cardiac arrest situations. The course provided students with the skills needed to recognize and respond effectively to these critical situationswith the aim of increasing the chances of survival of those affected.
The value of a course of this nature goes far beyond the mere acquisition of knowledge: it is about invest in security and in the well-being of the community, preparing individuals capable of intervening promptly in emergency situations.
There Dr. Anna Maria Sulla and Giovanni Capocasale they demonstrated great competence and passion in transmitting these important notions, thus contributing to forming a more widespread and prepared rescue network in the Crotone area.
The enthusiasm of the participants and the professionalism of the instructors made this course a real success, highlighting the importance of investing in skills that can make the difference between life and death in emergency situations.
