Sulmona: the Fiamme Gialle arrest alleged drug dealer

The Fiamme Gialle of Sulmona, directed by Captain Cecilia Tangredi, arrested a man this morning for possession of cocaine for trafficking purposes

The arrest took place during the service to combat illicit trafficking and restore urban decorum conducted by the Municipal Police, aimed in particular at identifying abandoned vehicles. The anti-drug dog units of the Guardia di Finanza Group of L’Aquila were fundamental as they searched the area in consideration of the fact that, very often, abandoned and left unlocked vehicles become places where the narcotic substance is hidden by sellers and buyers.

During the activity, an abandoned car without insurance coverage, registered to an Italian person already known to the police, was identified, parked in Via L’Aquila.
The Local Police officers contacted the owner of the vehicle and, in his presence and with the canine units, started the external inspection of the vehicle. While carrying out the operations, the dog unit gave signs of having smelled traces of drugs on the man.

We then moved on to a search of his person and his home, where a quantity of cocaine equal to 57 grams was found,
together with two precision scales.
The man was arrested for possession with the aim of dealing narcotics and taken to the Sulmona prison to await
of the hearing to validate the documents of the Judicial Police.
