Virtus Bolzano finds their first success away from home, winning 2-0 on the Mori Santo Stefano pitch in the penultimate matchday of Serie D (group C). Both goals were scored by Niccolò Centazzo, with the first goal at the start of the second half and the second goal a few minutes from the end. As a result, the mathematical certainty of the penultimate place in the championship was obtained, ahead of their Trentino “cousins”.

Virtus’ first ring after five minutes, thanks to Centazzo and Osorio: the latter sends a cross from the right towards the center of the area, where Arnaldo Kaptina narrowly misses the mark. Mori responds with Benedetti, whose conclusion in the 6th minute ends just wide. At 17′ Virtus again, who stings with an angled shot from Zeni which is met by an excellent Bonomi. In the 20th minute Santuari’s attempt from 25 meters, but the ball ends up on the bottom. In the 29th minute Mori tries again from distance, this time by En Naimi: Pircher neutralises. In the 30th minute Kicaj verticalizes for Arnaldo Kaptina, who threatens Bonomi from a slightly tight angle: the home goalkeeper deflects it for a corner. In the 32nd minute Pircher takes charge, saving a tricky shot from Gozzo. In the 39th minute Badan triangulates with Pozza on the left, enters the area and shoots with precision: a super Pircher flies to intercept the ball.

The second half opens with Virtus taking the lead: Zeni puts the ball in the middle of the area, where Centazzo arrives and controls it and scores past Bonomi. 1-0 for Sebastiani’s team. In the 12th minute another opportunity for the red and whites: Arnaldo Kaptina takes a dangerous free kick from the edge, but Bonomi avoids the double disadvantage. Fifteen minutes into the second half, Vinciguerra catches Sinn in the area: the latter tries a curling shot which Bonomi intervenes once again. In the 20th minute, another chance for Virtus to make it 0-2: the new substitute Giacomin serves Kicaj on the right, whose cross is cleared by Osorio. In the 41st minute, on the development of a corner, Busetto stands out for Kicaj, whose deflection is too weak to worry Bonomi. In the 44th minute there was the second goal, again scored by Centazzo: the red and white midfielder advanced alone, entered the penalty area and beat Bonomi for the 0-2. After four minutes of injury time, the final whistle blows, certifying Virtus Bolzano’s first (and only) victory away from home.
