Lele Barbara tries to land in Brussels. The councilor of the Tranchida council, in Trapani, is a candidate in the European elections in June with the Alleanza Verdi Sinistra. The list led by Leoluca Orlando, the former mayor of Palermo.

But he believes it: «Tired of seeing the usual names on the list that have little to do with Trapani – declared the councilor – I have decided to increase my efforts to try to represent the requests of the people of Trapani and Sicilians first and foremost, with humility and spirit of service, on the occasion of the upcoming European elections in June. As a young administrator, I strongly feel the need to talk about the real problems of our south: water crisis with general emergency due to lack of water, lack of work, environmental issues, flight of young people from the south, waste management. Europe must listen to us and give answers on the merits because we cannot be just a number or a residual reality but absolute protagonists of our history”.
«Mine – explains Barbara – is an absolutely civic candidacy, but I do not deny my closeness to the Green Europe project, with which I share many ideals. With an expert man like our leader Leoluca Orlando everything will be easier and I am happy to share a new path for the territory together with him, at a provincial and regional level”.
