Greek’s tower. Upon the arrival of the Ferrari parade, he could not resist the call of the prancing horse and rushed out of the church courtyard: a sudden and unpredictable rush for the driver of a van who was anticipating – probably at high speed – the motor procession.

The man was unable to brake in time, hitting the 13-year-old boy squarely. it happened around midday in via Diego Colamarino, in front of the parish of the Madonna delle Grazie.

The impact was devastating, to the point of shattering the vehicle’s windshield.

The 13-year-old was thrown several meters away, ending up disastrously on the pavement.

The alarm was immediately raised by several witnesses to the terrible accident. A municipal police patrol and a 118 ambulance arrived on site to provide first aid to the baby victim.

The boy was rushed to the emergency room of the Maresca hospital and had fractures in various parts of his body.

The men in uniform of the Largo Costantinopoli command are busy investigating the case to ascertain the possible responsibilities of the driver of the van.

This is the sixth accident in the last forty-eight hours in Torre del Greco, a real safety emergency for which no one – until today – has taken adequate measures.
