The extraordinary control services of the territory and the “High Impact” controls prepared by the police commissioner of the province of Ragusa Vincenzo Trombadore continue without interruption with the sharing of the provincial commands of the Carabinieri and the Guardia di Finanza, following the issues of the sector in depth within the provincial committee for public order and safety.
In this context, further impetus was given by the Police Headquarters of Ragusa and the Police Stations of Modica, Comiso, Vittoria with targeted territorial control services within the operational framework set up, an integrated and strengthened device was put in place also with the use of additional patrol crews from the Investigation offices as well as from the specialized units of the Crime Prevention Department and the Dog Unit.
Particular attention was paid to both the historic center of Ragusa where targeted general prevention services were carried out with the use of numerous patrols with the aim of guaranteeing safety in places of aggregation, the prevention of crimes in general and punctual respect for the rules, that in the neighborhoods.
Furthermore, the operational synergy within the “High Impact” device has produced a widespread operational extension in the achievement of the results also in the province of Ragusa. They were in fact 2117 people, 1057 vehicles and 232 subjects subject to judicial obligations were checked. The Anti-Crime Police Division issued 10 oral warnings, 04 Access Bans to Urban Areas, and 1 Daspo. The Immigration Office carried out 5 expulsions of irregular foreign citizens from the national territory and the Administrative and Social Police Division also carried out checks on 5 commercial activities. Finally, the Traffic Police subjected 128 vehicles to inspection, identifying 181 drivers: in total, 191 violations of the highway code were ascertained, 02 vehicles confiscated, 15 vehicles discovered and subjected to seizure without the relevant insurance coverage, 02 subjects reported for driving under the influence of substances drugs and 4 for driving while intoxicated.
