The colorful Wish Parade in Florence against the anti-rave decree launched in 2022 started around 5.30pm with 3,500 demonstrators from via Forlanini, alongside the University of Social Sciences: an “anti-fascist, anti-racist, transfeminist and anti-colonialist”, according to the collectives that organize it, because “in a city that is increasingly hostile to its inhabitants, we feel the need to give a signal of presence, claiming our practices as an active part of the social and cultural fabric”.
The procession, which like a year ago moves to the rhythm of reggae and techno music played from the speakers installed on some colorful trucks, parades through the streets of Florence touching Piazza Puccini and Porta al Prato, then entering Viale Lincoln to reach the Amphitheater Ernesto De Pascale at Cascine.
