The German-Italian Cultural Association is organizing a guided visit to the exhibition “To All Kafka” by the Austrian designer Nicholas Mahler on Thursday 2 May at 4pm, on display at the Castello San Giorgio Museum. The exhibition, which has the patronage of the Municipality of La Spezia, is curated by the Literaturhaus of Stuttgart and the Goethe Institut and offers an original approach to the writer’s personality and work on the centenary of his death (1924-2024). Nicolas Mahler was born in 1969 in Vienna, where he lives. His works are regularly published in newspapers such as «Die Zeit», «NZZ am Sonntag» and «Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung». In 2006 he won the prestigious «Max and Moritz» award as best German cartoonist, an award which he subsequently won in 2008 and 2010.

The visit, open to all interested parties, will be led by Dr. Giulia Landi. The exhibition, with free admission, will be open until May 28th, from 9.30am to 5pm. Thanks to the collaboration with the Ricci bookshop, interested parties will also be able to purchase the volume from which the exhibition is based, which has just been released by Edizioni Clichy, Florence. The Italian translation of the text of “A tutto Kafka” is due to Matteo Galli and Franziska Peltenburg-Brechneff. Reservations are welcome at the following email address: [email protected]
