Monitoring actions for the correct application of law 194/1978 are underway

The structure, “in synergy with the anti-violence centers belonging to the Di.re national network – Women in the network against violence, will therefore initiate monitoring actions of the correct application of law 194/1978 in the regional territory, and awareness and resistance actions”.

The statement underlines that the Center will support women and will evaluate with them, “if the conditions apply and in compliance with their wishes, any useful initiative to protect them”.

The Women’s Center “shares, in fact, the concerns expressed by many parties regarding the government’s choice to provide, with an amendment to law 194, the possibility for clinics, public facilities for the reception and protection of women’s health, to agree on the presence of the so-called pro-life associations, not only to support difficult motherhood paths after birth, but also in the very delicate maturation phase of the decision to interrupt, or not, the pregnancy”.

The opposition protests against the amendment to law 194

Several opposition parties have attacked the aforementioned amendment, defined as an attack on law 194. According to the positions of the 5 Star Movement, the Democratic Party and the Green Left Alliance, the amendment would serve to allow “Pro Life” associations to enter the clinics, anti-abortionists.
