Promote reading in the area through a network of third sector organizations ready to make their contribution, embracing every age group. This is the objective of the “We in the library with you” project, presented in Trani, which is part of the third edition of the “Libraries and Communities” call, promoted and financed by the “Foundation for the South” and the “Centre for Books and Reading”. The two-year initiative sees the participation of several local associations and bodies whose leader is the “Il Treno del Sorriso” association, followed by Auser Trani, Il Colore degli Anni and the “Giovanni Bovio” municipal library.
We therefore start with the project that will continue until April 2026 whose objectives are multiple: among these also generating an educational network and promoting the manifesto of the Pacts for Reading, relaunching reading through innovative methodologies and creating widespread tools for the promotion of culture and creativity, trying to reach all generations, from the youngest to the oldest.
Appointment on May 9th at the Piazzetta San Francesco with “The library arrives in the city”, a reading animated by the clown doctors of “Il Treno del Sorriso”. On May 22nd at Villa Guastamacchia the book “How is water – Recognizing the invisible sea of patriarchy every day” by the author Maria Anna di Gioia will be presented.
