PROMOTION B – Foligno to Acquasparta to end the season in style
Descriptive text here

FOLIGNO (by Lorenzo Locatelli) – We have reached the end of another championship and, this Sunday, the matches of the thirtieth and final day of the Promotion will be staged. Between challenges at the top to decide the championship victory and battles to reach safety, an exciting day is expected. Foligno, for the last away match of its championship, will challenge AMC 98, currently second to last in the standings, but very hungry for points.

Michele Proietti’s team, fresh from last Sunday’s 2-1 home defeat against Clitunno, will want to finish their championship, trying to grab the top of the table, momentarily playing in ninth place. The challenge, however, will not be the easiest: waiting for them will be the boys coached by Mister Enzo Montecchiani, fresh from the surprising away victory against Ducato di Spoleto.

AMC 98 will try to impose themselves within the walls of their friends for the first time after 12 games without a match (last home win on the 19th day against Bevagna). Anything can still happen in the lower areas of the table, as we find 5 teams in just 4 points, with 1 direct relegation and 4 valid positions for the play-outs. AMC, to make a long story short, could therefore find themselves at the bottom of the table, or in twelfth position at the end of Sunday’s match. A sort of “all or nothing” for the red and white. Simone Anullo and his teammates will therefore have to achieve a real feat in order to secure the best possible position in view of the play-offs.

Foligno, who won the first leg by 2 goals to 0 before the Christmas break thanks to Ayodele’s brace, will certainly have less motivation than the home team, having been saved for 3 games. This does not mean, as said in the press conference by Mister Proietti and DS Angelini, that the performance will be necessary to try to end this difficult season with a smile and to give one last joy to the fans, who flocked to the stadium in large numbers during the last matches to support their favorites. The Falchetti will therefore end a “double face” championship in Acquasparta, with a decidedly negative first part, but with a good recovery in the second round, thanks above all to the advent of the new coach.

Decidedly more convincing performances and several positive results deservedly decreed the salvation of Foligno, who, moreover, could have aspired to other objectives with a squad of this quality. The Promotion championships, however, are very difficult and it is well known that each match is different and it is therefore difficult to predict any result. Sunday will be the opportunity to greet the fans and above all to start planning the next season, which, as also said by DS Angelini, will certainly have to be different from this one, with a more ambitious and competitive Foligno to try to reach the high areas of the ranking.

In the meantime, we await tomorrow, which, even meteorologically speaking, promises to be very beautiful and we will see what the verdicts say at the end of the matches.
