Teaching staff recruitment – UnserTirol24

A meeting took place between the vice-president and provincial councilor for Education, the leaders of the Education and Culture Department and the school unions, on the topic of the extraordinary competition for qualifications and exams for secondary school teaching staff. From the union information on the data relating to members, a low participation emerged, not in line with the number of eligible aspirants, as from the analysis carried out by the competent Department itself, for which the provincial councilor said she was sorry.

The vice president pointed out that it was necessary to introduce possession of the qualification as an access requirement, unlike what was requested by the trade unions, as it was not possible to apply the rule approved last July by the provincial council without a prior agreement with the Ministry of Education and Merit.

This would have constituted a risk in terms of recognition of the qualifying title. In fact, the competence relating to the teaching qualification systems remains exclusively with the Ministry, for which, moreover, with the adoption of the relevant implementing decrees, the new reform has come into force which provides for the achievement of the qualification with the acquisition of the expected training credits
