ANCONA – Serious accusation of sexual abuse of a minor hangs over a father in the Marche capital. The juvenile court decided to suspend parental rights for the man. The mother is under investigation for complicity in morals, accused of having known and not having reported the abuse. The complaint was brought forward by a friend of the victim, who is 17 years old today, and who said she suffered the abuse between 2021 and 2022. The girl’s confessions were initially made to her friend, then formalized at the police last October. Yesterday morning, the young woman’s testimony was recorded in an evidentiary incident by investigating judge Carlo Masini, to ensure that her statements can be used in a possible future trial. According to the investigations, the abuse took place at home, when father and daughter were alone.
Although the girl tried to confide in her mother, no immediate measures were taken until 2022, when she was removed from the family home and placed with her maternal uncle. The new arrangement gave the minor the security to confide further, sharing what happened with a friend she met after she moved, who then reported the facts to the authorities.
The teenager is currently housed in a secure facility, away from her family environment. After being interrogated, the father left for his home country and never returned.
The minor is now under the guardianship of the lawyer Michela Dentici, legally assisted by the lawyer Giulia Remia, while the parents are defended by the lawyers Francesca Petruzzo and Andrea Coen. The case is coordinated by the deputy prosecutor Valentina D’Agostino, who follows the developments of an affair that has shaken the Ancona community.
