Fear yesterday late in the morning on the A1, in the southern lane where a car with a three-year-old child and a two-month-old baby on board suddenly overturned. Fortunately the entire family, parents and children, did not suffer serious consequences.
The accident occurred at 12.30 yesterday at km 151, before the junctions with the A22 and Modena Nord (therefore between Reggio Emilia and Modena Nord). For reasons currently being investigated by the Modena Nord road agents, who immediately intervened on the scene, the vehicle with the family on board overturned.
In the car, in addition to the two parents, there were their 3-year-old children and a 2-month-old baby.
In addition to the traffic police, fire brigade teams intervened on site and extracted the children and parents from the passenger compartment of the damaged vehicle.
The 118 paramedics also arrived immediately with the air ambulance but, fortunately, the family did not suffer any serious injuries.
Along with the Modena Nord road agents, highway personnel also intervened on site.
Due to the accident, around 7/8 km of queues formed but in a short time the police managed to manage the situation quickly and the roadway was reopened shortly afterwards.
