Pecco’s law lights up the weekend of the Spanish GP. Best time in free practice and a mad desire to take everything. Pole, Sprint and race. Bagnaia was perfect on Friday in Jerez. “We solved many small problems and here we are…”. Where here, it means having managed to put Vinales’ super-Aprilia and the determination of Marquez’s Ducati (that of the Gresini team) behind him.

Bagnaia again. “I like the Jerez track. But the important thing was to immediately eliminate the gap with the others, i.e. right from free practice. The choice of tires will be decisive in two days (today and tomorrow, ed.) which promises variable weather.” Pecco confirms that he will use the soft tires for the Sprint, while he still has some doubts about the choice he will make in view of the race.

Ducati, therefore, which is preparing for a leading role in Jerez even if the continuity that Viñales seems to have found with Aprilia is the confirmation that Batman could be Bagnaia’s first rival.

All this under the eyes of Valentino Rossi who yesterday showed up at the garage of his team Pertamina-Vr46 and immediately got the best response from Marco Bezzecchi, fourth, and with the concrete possibility of aiming for the podium. Vale will follow the whole weekend of the Spanish GP and will make a point with his team, perhaps with a look at the future.

After a negotiation with Yamaha (for 2025) was stopped, the Vr46 is moving towards a new agreement with Ducati and this could coincide with the doubts of a renewal between Pramac and the Desmos.

Martin (Pramac) went like this and like that yesterday, finishing fifth, but with a race pace apparently far from that of the leaders in the class.

And in Jerez we also continue to talk about the riders market. Mauro Grassilli, Ducati sporting director, opened the scenario on who will join Bagnaia in 2025. “Marquez, Bastianini and Martin are on the list of our programs, but we can’t make everyone happy. In a few weeks Dall’Igna will decide”.

The program. Today from 8.40 the last free practices; MotoGP at 10.10. MotoGP qualifying 10.50am and 11.15am. Sprint Race at 3pm. All live on TV on SkyMotoGp and streaming on Now.
