BARI – Tuesday 30 April 2024, the association “The Figures of Saint Nicholas APS“, the association “Red Cross Sisters of Italy” And “La Madonnina Life&Care” will present “The cult and celebration of Saint Nicholas”, event dedicated to the Saint Miroblite who, in AD 1087, was transported for the first time by sixty-six sailors from Bari and which will be celebrated in the next few days in Bari.
The meeting – which will take place at La Madonnina, located in viale L. Pasteur n.18 and will be presented by the journalist Nicole Cascione – will be opened by institutional greetings from Alberto Nerini (President of La Madonnina Life&Care) e Grace Andidero (Head of the Italian Red Cross Association, Bari section).
The cultural event is held in collaboration with the association “Timpanists Nicolaus Barium”, “Altilla Stupor Mundi – Timpanists & Flag Throwers“, the association “Raduga“, the association “Brvndisivm Historica APS-ETS” and with “Totem Newspaper North Salento”.
The speakers at the event dedicated to the Patron Saint of Bari will be: Vito Lisco (President of “I Figuranti di San Nicola”) who will speak on the historical procession of the Caravella; Antonietta Depalma (re-enactor of the Brvndisivm Historica APS association) who will talk about monasticism and the work of scribes in Benedictine monasteries; Pietro D’onghia (reenactor of the Brvndisivm Historica APS association) who will speak on civil and military customs in Bari in the year 1000; Antonio Di Fazio (author of the book “The pilgrims of San Nicola) who will report on the pilgrimage to San Nicola; Nunzio Santoro (president of the Italian-Russian association “Raduga”) who will talk about Saint Nicholas and the Orthodox community of Bari and Roberto Schipa (director in charge of Totem Giornale Nord Salento) who will speak on the cult of San Nicola a Squinzano.
Temur Yakubov And Anna Ebelas a duo, will perform with “Musical Soul”.
For the occasion there will be a representation of Procession of Saint Nicholas of Bari.
