In the meantime, the investigation has led to a series of repercussions including the resignation of president Gianluigi Draghi (Gianpaolo Lizzi is the new manager of the Colli Al Metauro plant) and the suspension of the activities of the plant under investigation, to allow the verification and possible reclamation of the production plants and the entire structure, so that each function can be restored to its maximum capacity and potential as soon as possible, guaranteeing the total healthiness of the production environments and finished products. In recent days the NAS have seized around 90 tonnes of milk and 110 tonnes of dairy products, as well as around 2.5 tonnes of adulterated substances (caustic soda and hydrogen peroxide), for a total value of just under 800 thousand euros.
The investigations
The investigations directed by the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Pesaro aim to ascertain the use of adulterating and adulterating substances in the production circuit of large-scale retail dairy products. To date, only one precautionary recall of products packaged in the Fattore Marchigiane plant has been reported: three batches of mozzarella for pizzerias, sold under four different brands in packs of one kilo and two and a half kilos. TreValli Cooperlat reiterated the total genuineness of all products coming from the Jesi and Amandola factories, which are not affected by the investigation or any measure.
