Harmonies of the evening travelers of the notes. The festival started from the Marche region this year and arrives in Berlin
Descriptive text here

The definition of Wanderer (wayfarer, in German), which indicates the Evening Harmonies Festivalconceived and directed from the beginning with inexhaustible tenacity as an organizer, equal to his skill as a piano soloist, by maestro Marco Sollini, from Porto San Giorgio in the Marche region, with its clear reference to Schubert’s memory is particularly suited to the well-known musical festival in course of the year: for the vague sense of spiritual and melodic wandering that accompanies the concerts that animate it, from May to December, held in places eminent for natural and artistic beauty.

The place and the music

Places in the Marche, where the event was born in Ponzano di Fermo, as in numerous other regions of the country where you can always feel that feeling of intimate correspondence with the music linked to the magic of the place: the Heimlichkeit, the secret sweetness of Schubert, precisely , an almost untranslatable word. The festival, presented in recent days in Rome among the frescoes, the cloister and the secret garden of the Pio Sodalizio dei Piceni, officially opens on Saturday 25 May, at 9pm, in the Upper Basilica of San Francesco in Assisi, with a tribute to Rossini at sign of the sacred: with the exciting Petite Messe Solennelle, repeated the following day in the Basilica of Santa Croce in Florence. On Friday 7 June at the Cenacolo of Santa Croce in Florence, on the edge of a typically Rossini playful irony, the melologue dedicated to “Rossini’s Sins” is scheduled, with the reciting voice of Sandro Cappelletto, musicologist and critic worth listening to, with the sopranile voice by Cinzia Forte and piano by Marco Scolastra.

Illusionism and magic

On June 9th, the wanderer who chases the Harmonies of the evening will be able to attend an innovative show between illusionism, magic and music, The Sound of Magic, based on a text by Attilio Piovano, at the Teatro Olimpico in Vicenza, where the magician and illusionist Antonio Casanova will punctuate his magic tricks on music from the French repertoire, up to John Williams from Harry Potter, performed together by the Sollini-Barbatano piano duo: the director and the artistic team of the event who, as per usual, characterize numerous concerts with their active presence. The evocative places in the Marche that spread the concert notes of the long festival are numerous starting from the end of July and throughout August. Among the most original events, the one in August in the Rocca Tiepolo in Porto San Giorgio with the social piano star Lola Astanova in her only Italian date; later, in November, the debut of the musical theater show La Belle Excentrique with Marisa Laurito in the world premiere at the Teatro Ventidio Basso in Ascoli Piceno; or even “La bohème” in an unreleased chamber version with the young voices winners of the Ricci Prize of Viterbo, to celebrate Puccini’s centenary. It goes without saying that the more traditional concerts by illustrious soloists for solo instrument significantly characterize the general programme.

The unscheduled

In reporting again in relation to the summer period (8-14 July), almost unscheduled on the occasion of the twentieth anniversary, the Young Music Talents Week in collaboration with the Conservatory of Fermo, it is right to conclude with the highly prestigious appointment set at abroad, in the legendary Great Hall of the Berlin Philharmonie, for the Italienische Nacht, a sort of double concert for orchestra, the Filarmonica Pugliese, and instrumental and singing soloists, with the watchful presence of Sollini and Barbatano.
