“XX Tenzone Cortese Città di Ferrara”, in Ferrara one of the stages of the historical circuit – Telestense

“XX Tenzone Cortese Città di Ferrara” scheduled for Sunday 12 May from 9.30 to 13 at the Massari Park in Ferrara organized by the Filippo degli Ariosti Company of Archers and Crossbowmen. The initiative was presented on Wednesday 8 May in the Tapestry Room of the municipal residence.

The tourism councilor, the president of the Company of Archers and Crossbowmen Filippo degli Ariosti Gianni Soffritti, together with a councilor from the historical-sports association, spoke at the meeting with journalists.

In Ferrara, FIDASC, a multidisciplinary national federation recognized by CONI, in its section dedicated to archery, finds in the Filippo degli Ariosti Archers and Crossbowmen Company new qualified and highly representative resources in the sector to which they belong.

There are a total of 5 competitions scheduled this year, from Northern to Central Italy, to form the Single National Championship: the first test of the appeal that the FIDASC regulation will have. An important step for Estense sport to give further possibilities, starting from the age of 9, to learn a healthy discipline managed by qualified technicians in total safety, fun and which often interacts with the local school, benefiting the psychophysical state of the individuals who they practice it as also mentioned in “Zen and Archery” by Eugen Herrigel. The Ferrara company, made up of over one hundred athletes, in which successful teams and elements already play (both Olympic and historical), has seen over the years brought regional, national and international titles, in the shadow of the Castle, as well as celebrating countless local events of tournaments and collaborations with organizations for disabled people. It has its main practice range and school near the Bassani Urban Park and has been making its instructors available for some time to promote knowledge of archery in all its categories.

The meeting between the President Gianni Soffritti and the Federal technician Moreno Buzzoni made it possible to share organizational goals and methods and to sign the affiliation for 2024 with the staging of two races under the aegis of the Federation itself. The regulations provide for practices in the woods with 3D silhouettes, with competitions on the theme of historical re-enactment, in which philological targets and period clothing generate sensations that can only be described by trying.

The city of Ferrara, on Sunday 12 May, will host one of the stages of the historic circuit at Parco Massari from 9.30 am to 1 pm, which together with other cities throughout the national territory make up the Italian championship. Approximately 70 historic archers will compete by shooting three arrows in each of the 16 prepared pitches.

The contemporaneity with “The oldest Palio in the world” will allow athletes and tourists to experience the historic heart of the Estense capital, immersing themselves in an open-air work of art, like in an animated painting in which to live as protagonists. A “real reality” in which the orchestration of historical and sporting associations will be able to present in the Opera Magna. The regional manager Piero Broccanello, reached by telephone, immediately made himself available and satisfied with this declaration of intent, making all possible FIDASC resources available.

The President of Filippo degli Ariosti, – Gianni Soffritti – an expert professional in risk protection and also a member of the National Historical Arch Commission FIDASC, has a clear idea of one of the first objectives of the back stage: “Having fun”. The appointment is soon, exits home and “Enter History”.
