the new edition of SKF Italia Meet the World is underway

A great party, where the winner will be the desire to be together and compete on the pitch in the name of sporting integrity. Now in its fourth edition, the initiative SKF Italia Meet the World is increasingly taking the form of a recognized event in the third sector.

There will be as many as eight, never so many, teams made up of players with certified intellectual disabilities present on May 25th and 26th at the event organized by SKF Italia at the Il Podio di Porte sports facility, in Turin, in via Martellotto, Località Malanaggio.

The tournament will take place over the weekend and will end after the finals on Sunday afternoon with the award ceremony of all the teams present. Entrance to the sports facility will be free.

We are proud of how this sporting event has grown over the years and is increasingly appreciated by associations and companies dedicated to promoting sport as a tool for integration and social inclusion of people with disabilities”, he declares Aldo Cedrone, CEO of SKF Italia.

Our tournament was born with the aim of spreading the positive values ​​of sport, such as respect for teammates and opponents, the importance of being together, working towards a common goal. I am sure that our enthusiasm is that of many people who share the same values ​​with us“, points out Cedrone.

The teams registered for the new edition are: Insuperabili SSDRL (Turin); ASD Accademia Sport (Porte, TO); CPS onlus (Chivasso, TO); RG Ticino (Romentino, NO); ASD Terzo Tempo onlus (Turin); Edu in-forma(tion) Bologna ASD; ASD Gli invincibili di Omegna (VCO); ASD Divertime sport (Genoa).

As with the previous editions of the tournament, this year too there will be the possibility of participating with the colors of “SKF Italia” in the Gothia Special Olympics Trophythe international event reserved for teams belonging to the Special Olympics Organization, scheduled in Gothenburg, Sweden, from 14 to 20 July 2024.
