For just cause and appoints a new sole director
«Decrees to revoke for just cause and with immediate effect, the appointment of the members of the Board of Directors of ASE spa and to urgently appoint, for the administration of said company, Dr. Marcello Danisi, with professional firm, as Sole Director in Bari, in possession of adequate professionalism as per the CV acquired in the documents”. The Extraordinary Commissioner of the Municipality of Manfredonia, Rachele Grandolfo, specifies that «this appointment is also made pursuant to and for the purposes of the art. 2409 of the civil code” which provides “If there is a well-founded suspicion of serious irregularities in the fulfillment of the duties of directors and auditors, the shareholders representing one tenth of the share capital may report the facts to the court”.
As is known, the special ecological company, 97% owned by the Municipality of Manfredonia with the Municipality of Vieste as a partner, is governed by a three-member Board of Directors appointed by the mayor Gianni Rotice to replace the Sole Director Rphael Rossi appointed by the Extraordinary Commission Piscitelli, who for his impeccable management of the company was the subject of threats, including the sending of bullets. A substitution accompanied by perplexity and suspicious opacity.
The severe intervention of the vice prefect Grandolfo on the municipal in-house company,
following «the serious situation» that arose in that company, which emerged from the political-administrative judicial case “Hands off” conducted in Manfredonia by the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Foggia which resulted, among other things, in precautionary measures for a former employee of the Ase and to his son. The Extraordinary Commissioner has therefore adopted new internal organizational measures, aimed at an “efficient guidance and control system”, sending the municipal manager, engineer Rosa Tedeschi, and the lieutenant of the Financial Police Paolo Claudio Bisceglia.
The activity carried out highlighted a series of conduct on the part of the board of directors, which led to the decisions of Commissioner Grandolfo. Among the findings highlighted in the report of the two municipal correspondents, shortcomings and omissions inherent to the 2024-2031 Industrial Plan; penalties in the execution of contracts; omissions in the execution of various procedures; non-compliance at the municipal collection center; imbalances in the compensation of the administrative body; failure to submit the compensation to the meeting; irregularities in the calling of the company meeting; external consultancy, management of company personnel.
The horrifying insight into a company that has always been talked about, always used by the political power which has always masked the many situations like these now revealed and denounced. My hope is that good practices have been initiated that will make the company responsible for a fundamental service for the city efficient and transparent, finally returned to its natural function.
