On Saturday 27 April, at 9.15 pm, the new edition of the festival dedicated to vernacular theater “Gran Galà del dialetto” begins at Feronia which, once again, intends to reaffirm the artistic-cultural value of dialect works written over the course of the last century by great authors such as Mario Affede, Dante Cecchi, Fabio Macedoni and Camillo Vittici.

San Severino certainly boasts one of the greatest authors of dialect theater works, Don Amedo Gubinelli, who will be represented next year.

The event is promoted by Uilt Marche Aps with the patronage of the Municipality and the Region and with the collaboration of the Oreste Calabresi Theater and the companies involved in the performances.

Four events are scheduled.

On Saturday 27 April, the comedy “Zì Annetta” by Mario Affede, directed by Alberto Pellegrino, will be staged by the Teatro Club “Amedeo Gubinelli” of San Severino. Taking the stage will be Marica Zannini, Fabio Sparvoli, Claudia Trecciola, Alessandra Granata, Cesare Bordo, Federico Elisei, Enrico Maria Bordo, Mauro Capaldi, Camilla Zaganelli, Thea Malandra and Andrea Fratini. Assistant director Paola Egidi, set designer Sandro Granata, costumes Adriana Feliziani, stage director Marina Buresta.

The story concerns Paulì’s family, representatives of the new urban bourgeoisie, owner of a thriving transport company with buses and rental cars, a business set up thanks to the generous loan of a friend who emigrated to Argentina and became very rich. Several drivers work in the company under the control of Cesare, the owner’s good-natured trusted man. The family lives in a house in the historic center which has an elegant garden terrace overlooking the panorama of Macerata. The other members of the family are Rosina, Paulì’s wife and their daughter Ninetta, a girl secretly in love with a young worker named Righetto, an honest worker in love with Ninetta, who does not enjoy the sympathies of the girl’s father. Finally, there is the protagonist Zi’ Annetta, Paulì’s sister and the true landlady of the house, a woman with a strong character, an innate irony and a verve that recalls her popular origins, very fond of her niece Ninetta and her ally in encouraging his secret loves, a woman who will prove to be the deus ex machina of the entire story. Margherita and her daughter Beatrice live nearby, a student friend of Ninetta who has a certain passion for culture. The return to Macerata from Argentina of Sor Teodoro and his son Dante will bring a certain upheaval in the family because he has joined forces with Paulì to marry their respective children, but Ninetta does not want to give up her Righetto and will succeed with the help decisive factor of the aunt, while Dante will be able to console himself with Beatrice and Teodoro himself will have ways of getting married again. Zì Annetta, who saw her plans come true, will emerge victorious on all fronts and will agree to revive an old love.
