On the occasion of the 2025 Jubilee in Turin a special exhibition of the Shroud will be held. This was announced by the Archbishop of Turin, Monsignor Roberto Repole, on the occasion of the presentation of the activities that will take place this year for the Feast of the Shroud. However, the 2025 exhibition will not be for everyone; only a thousand people will be able to see it: “We would like the jubilee year 2025 to be characterized by the fact that our church is the one that houses the Shroud”, explained Repole, “We will not do a classic exposition, but we will experiment with new ways of to be custodians of the Shroud and to also be able to live this custody pastorally”.
The news is that the 2025 exhibition will be exclusively for young people: “Next year we expect there to be a moment in which to display the Shroud for young people. Presumably we will do it around May 4th on the occasion of the Feast of the Shroud” , added Repole. “There is a category of people”, said Monsignor Repole, “to whom we look with great attention: the young people of our diocese, who in recent months have participated in the catechetical journey carried out in the Cathedral and at the Santo Volto. With we are studying a particular moment of meeting for them”. These are a thousand boys and girls.
Those who cannot observe it up close, however, will be able to visit the large tensile structure that will be placed in Piazza Castello: “In Piazza Castello we will place a tent that allows the use of various documents through which Christians, tourists and the people of Turin can be put in contact with our singular and unique heritage with exhibitions, meetings, testimonies and videos”.
