“Near the Rimini Nord and Sud motorway toll booths there are no parking areas for vehicles available to travellers.
At the Rimini Sud toll booth – writes Gioenzo Renzi, group leader of the Brothers of Italy, in a note – the only possibility of parking for cars remains the area adjacent to the Hera headquarters, almost always completely occupied by employee cars; while in Rimini Nord the cars are parked precariously and dangerously along the dirt roads of the narrow Via Orsoleto.
The previous question – continues Gioenzo Renzi’s note – two years ago, in which I asked the Municipal Administration to promote an agreement with the owners of the vast surrounding land, to find the area and create the car parks, it had no follow-up.
The Municipal Administration also rejected my amendment to the Three-Year Public Works Plan 2023-2025 for the construction of car parks at motorway toll booths.
Therefore, in the City Council last Tuesday, I asked for the necessary and urgent creation of a car park at the motorway toll booths, in order to provide answers to the needs of travellers.
For decades, travelers have been forced to search – continues Gioenzo Renzi, group leader of the Brothers of Italy – near the toll booths, a makeshift, precarious and abandoned parking space, therefore, it is time to make a parking lot available to them, organized and safe with video surveillance.
The availability of a functional car park at motorway toll booths is a convenient meeting point with other people to share the journey, reducing the number of vehicles in circulation and CO2 emissions, with economic and energy savings and environmental benefits.
A car park for vehicles at the Rimini Nord and Sud motorway toll booths – concludes Gioenzo Renzi – represents a qualifying asset of Rimini for mobility needs”.
