TRENTO – A 39-year-old man was urgently airlifted to the Santa Chiara hospital in Trento after being injured while cutting some plants in the woodsi above the village of Dambel in Val di Non. From an initial reconstruction, it seems that the man was hit by a plant after cutting it, slipping into a escarpment and ending up in the trickle of a stream after a flight of about 5 metres. The call to the Single Emergency Number 112 came around 4.50pm from a person who was with him. The Single Trentino Emergency Center requested the intervention of the helicopter, while the operators of the Alta Val di Non Station of the Alpine and Speleological Rescue went to the pitch, ready to provide support in case of need. Once on site, the helicopter winched the Alpine Rescue helicopter rescue technician with the medical team. The man, unconscious and in serious condition due to possible polytraumas sustained from the fall, he was intubated on site. After being stabilized and placed on stretchers, he was winched aboard the helicopter to be transferred to the Santa Chiara hospital in Trento. Fire Brigade also on site.
