On Wednesday, State Police personnel on duty at the Fano police station carried out a targeted control activity in the area aimed at preventing thefts at commercial establishments in Fano, called SAFE SHOP, through the monitoring and analysis of the system of citizen video surveillance, in collaboration with the Local Police of Fano.
The video surveillance system highlighted the presence of a suspicious vehicle. The car was followed by police along the Adriatic state road and then stopped near a bar in Via Pisacane. Three individuals, stopped by the officers, were found in possession of 800 euros in cash recently stolen from the slot machines of the public establishment.
Once out they were arrested for aggravated theft.
When they were taken to the police station, they were identified as the most experienced at the head of a gang dedicated to carrying out this type of crime throughout Italy.
Probably the same ones would have continued to strike in further exercises in Fano.
The validation hearing took place this morning.
