Lecce, Guido: “Another hill too high and dangerous”

LECCE – Yet another hill appears that is too high and dangerous, this time on Lecce – Torre Chianca. Andrea Guido, city councilor, reported it outgoing and candidate with the UDC-Puglia Popolare list –
The speed bump, created to limit the speed of vehicles and ensure the safety of pedestrians, due to its shape and height, actually represents an enormous danger for cars and motorcycles.

The bollard, a few hours after its installation, has already attracted numerous complaints, both for its excessive height, due to which the risk of damaging cars is very high, and for the lack of specific signs inviting people to reduce the speed. Not to mention what could happen to a distracted motorcyclist. In that case, it would most likely be a real tragedy. Some residents, despite passing at very low speed, have already suffered damage to their cars and the marks of the cars that damaged the oil sump are clearly visible on the asphalt.

If any intervention on the road system must cause inconvenience and, in some cases, even danger for the people of Lecce, I would say that it would be better for this Administration to stay put and not do anything anymore. The performance anxiety of these last weeks preceding the vote is proving to be extremely harmful and dangerous for all of us, as well as embarrassing for the whole city.
