Discovering the territory

Saturday at Spinadello offers a series of events including the excursion from the aqueduct to Bertinoro, where participants will be able to enjoy a piadina overlooking the “balcony of Romagna”, with two foraging activities. Also the second edition of Pilgrim Days includes various moments of meeting, in-depth analysis and discussion in the vicinity of the Feast of San Pellegrino Laziosi, on May 1st: on Saturday we will go to discover the Birthplace of San Pellegrino. A Sunday in the open air in Castrocaro Thermal baths with the Forte dei Marmi market, the farmers’ market and for fun, street games by Nonno Banter and musical incursions by All’Incirco with “Musica tra le clouds”, played by bizarre musicians on stilts. An excellent opportunity to visit the medieval fortress of Castrocaro (in the photo) or the Praetorian Palace of Terra del Sole. Rocca delle Caminate can be visited again by the public during the weekend: for all those who go up to the fortress for the visit, the cultural itinerary is available, consisting of 24 panels, divided into two parts: the first tells the thousand-year-old history from the origins, while the second focuses on on the events of the twentieth century.

Between music, theater and fantasy

The Forlimusica season meets on Friday in the former Mazzini cinema room, for the orchestra concert Lost Heritage & Music, with the transnational orchestra directed by maestro Stefano Nanni with music by Stampfer, Sansalvador and Dundakov. Also on Friday at the La Rimbomba cultural club in Bertinoro, a tribute to the great American songwriter with the show “Like a rolling stone: Bob Dylan between music and words”a hypnotic and fascinating journey into the world of the American musician, a show, a concert, a recital that in two hours leaves you without answers, of course, but with a big question mark, just like Bob Dylan himself has always done in recent years.

The 2024 edition of the traveling Crossroads festival will stop in Meldola for just one evening, but it will be one of those that leaves its mark: on Saturday at the Teatro Comunale Dragoni they will perform the trumpeter Fabrizio Bosso and the guitarist Bebo Ferra, a face-to-face meeting between two of the greatest representatives of national jazz. They will perform on Saturday at the Mentore theater in Santa Sofia “The eight cellos of Turin” together with Piergiorgio Rosso: the concert “Great music and cinema” is on the program, with songs ranging from Bach to Rota, from Shostakovic to Morricone.

Still on Saturday at the Fabbrica delle Candele, the last appointment of the cycle of free workshops dedicated to young people under 35 is held, organized by Masque Teatro, conducted by Catia Gatelli and entitled Shut up and is linked to the text of the same name by Michela Murgia. On Sunday, however, the Chiesa dei Servi of Forlimpopoli will host the second appointment of the ancient music festival ‘ReSonat’: the Forlì artist Giulia Ricci will perform on the harpsichord presenting a solo program entitled ‘An Italian Journey to London’.

The dragons have landed, the spaceships have started their engines, the nightmares have crawled out of the closets late at night, until Friday at the Candle Factory there is the first edition of Infinite Stories Festival: an event dedicated to the fantasy genre, broken down into its subgenres

On show

The exhibition is open at San Domenico in Forlì Pre-Raphaelites. Modern Renaissance, directed by Gianfranco Brunelli and edited by Elizabeth Prettejohn, Peter Trippi, Francesco Parisi and Cristina Acidini: through approximately 300 works including paintings, sculptures, drawings, prints, photographs, furniture, ceramics, glass and metal works, fabrics, medals, books illustrated books, manuscripts and jewels, the exhibition will tell this story by placing for the first time, thanks to the generous loans granted by European museums, a substantial representation of Italian models, including works by ancient masters, alongside British works. New initiatives within the program “Educating communities and creativity at the service of children”, which celebrates the 50th anniversary of Gianni Rodari’s visit to Forlì: “A fantastic pairing. Duilio Santarini and Gianni Rodari between affinities and differences” is the multimedia exhibition promoted by the Duilio Santarini Pedagogical Library curated by Elena Dolcini, which can be visited at the Sala Blu in Forlì.

The exhibition opens its doors on Saturday at the MAF Archaeological Museum of Forlimpopoli “Traces” of the painter Carlo Cola: born in Cesena, but has long been a Forlimpopolise by adoption, the artist returns to one of his recurring themes, the house, or perhaps it would be better to say the houses, as an intimate and evocative place: with his painting warm and sumptuous, in his works Cola wants to tell the stories of those who lived in places that were once lively and popular; places full of traces. Is titled “Nostalgia for the future in Capri” the exhibition of the painter Miria Malandri which opens its doors on Saturday in the “Mario Bertozzi” Exhibition Hall in Forlimpopoli: the exhibition is inspired by the film ‘Capri revolution’ by Mario Martone released in 2018: the director took inspiration from the story of the German painter Karl Wilhelm Diefenbach, who in 1914 founded a rebel community on the island involving other young artists from Northern Europe and Russia. Personal exhibition of nature photography by Fabio Savini “Misunderstood charm – Photographic exhibition on Amphibians and Reptiles” at the Spinadello – Participatory Visitor Center: amphibians and reptiles, as happens with the unknown, are often feared and misunderstood creatures; yet they are animals that can be useful to humans and some species are indicators of the health status of the habitats in which they live.
