Spring is in full swing and weather conditions allow, in Piedmont, also the period of fairs and festivals.
DURING THE WEEKEND
This weekend, thanks to the long holiday weekend of 25 Aprilthe biggest party is in Pinerolo where there are at the same time the Spring fair in Piazza d’Armi, Pinerolo in Sella – the equestrian event which will see a high level of participation from both local equestrian clubs and those from outside the region – and the Rolling Truck Street Food Festival in Largo Lequio, with all the typical specialties of Italian and international cuisine. Piedmont is celebrated with Sound Breakwhich offers ravioli del plin, hamburger, steak, stew and fassona rib, veal with tuna sauce and bagna cauda. You can also pop in Sicily between bread and panelle, cunzato bread and bread with spleenmini arancini, horse meat, Sicilian cannoli and cassatine.
NOT ONLY PINEROLO
TO Pellice Tower instead, between Piazza San Martino and Via Arnaud, it returns on Saturday and Sunday Flowers and Flavors. Exhibitors of horticulturalists, farmers and food and wine producers, will fill the pedestrian streets of the historic center with flowers and flavors. The stands will be open to visitors on the two days from 9am to 7pm and the participation of exhibitors from the natural and eco-friendly products market is expected. The program also includes exhibitions of farm animals. Gustiamo Italia is staged in Ciriè instead. The protagonists will be stands of typical products, farmers, exhibitors, food and wine with tastings, craftsmanship and strictly Italian street food.
IN THE CUNEE AREA
And it will also be interesting to take a tour of the Cuneo area. In Cavallermaggiore it is the last weekend of the Gorgonzola Festival while in Alba there is Vinum: the city squares become tasting stands dedicated to the tasting of the main types of wines produced in the area without forgetting the grappas and distillates from Piedmont.
