PROVINCE OF ALEXANDRIA – Alice Cometti was confirmed as president of Cuspo, and with her the council. The election took place during the ordinary meeting held on 24 April in Vercelli, mainly dedicated to the renewal of corporate offices for the three-year, renewable mandate. The council is made up of Giovanni Chiò Vice president, Nicolò Regalli treasurer, and councillors Francesco Cellerino and Alberto Travaglia. In the Board of Auditors: president Dr. Luigi Tarriconeadvisors: Michele Robotti and Michele Marinone. Confirmed Alessio Giacomini in the role of General Secretary.
“2023” he underlined Alice Cometti “It has been a complicated year due to the change in the legislation on contracts for sports workers, an important step for the associations but also difficult because the legislation is difficult to interpret and the bureaucratic times are slow, but the Cuspo structure is qualified and effective. On the activity front, the past four years have been characterized by growth in results, both in terms of registrations and race performance. Among the good results is the move of the first Alessandria basketball team to C, as well as Novara’s five-a-side football team which rose to C1. The participation of university teams in the selections for the basketball and volleyball championships is also a sign of growth. Regarding the future, we will work on expanding the structures, which are not adequate in the area. In particular, Alessandria suffers the greatest consequences: there is no structure adjacent to the University as Novara and Vercelli have. This will be the main commitment of my next mandate.”
