The condition of the French tourist who was recovered in Ceresio on the morning of April 25th after a submersion that left him with no escape was too serious: Uk Pania Chhom, 34 year old French citizen died late Thursday afternoon in Lecco.
The man, as you will remember, had been rescued by firefighters also thanks to the help ofhelicopter of the Malpensa flight group after he slipped into a stream while trying to catch his dog and disappeared into the water.
The area where the events took place is at mouth of the Cuccio stream and in fact the body would have been dragged into the pre-Alpine lake where the current probably pushed it to a considerable depth.
The life-saving maneuvers and the emergency were useless helicopter ride to Lecco hospital: the man leaves behind a partner and a one-year-old child.
