The Spring March took place at Villa Sant’Angelo on Thursday 25 April.

The spring march – organized in collaboration with theAsd Atletica L’Aquila – represented an important moment of aggregation in the name of sport. The athletes competed in a 10km foot race and a 5km non-competitive walk. Not only sports, but also entertainment for children, inflatables and a discount for the visit to the Stiffe Caves. The mayor of L’Aquila also participated in the event, Pierluigi Biondi.

“The March of spring – commented Mayor Biondi – This year too it entertained adults and children alike. The event has been an important moment of aggregation for Villa Sant’Angelo for more than thirty years. Congratulations to all the participants who put themselves to the test by providing a great example of community.”

For Atletica Abruzzo L’Aquila: “in the Relays, Regional Boys Championship, the Regional Champion title was won by Federico Iuliano, Massimo Sfarra, Luca Pace and Massimo Iacobucci in the 4X100. Another Regional Champion title for Massimo Sfarra, Luca Pace and Massimo Iacobucci in the 3X800. These two results allowed our Sports Association to win the title in the Youth Category Club Championship with 1022 points. In the races in Villa Sant’Angelo, first place in the respective categories went to Syria Palumbo, Sara Spaziani, Franco Lolli and David Panza. Second place for Leonardo Marrocco and Ermando Galante, third place for Giorgia Zaccagna, Luis Panza and Andrea Giovannelli. Excellent results also for all the other rookies present. In the Masters sector there was a clear “en plein” in the women’s ranking with the conquest of the first 6 places in the general with 4 category podiums. In the men’s ranking, 6 podiums were achieved in the categories. Athletics Abruzzo L’Aquila has important characteristics for which it stands out: inclusion, sharing, sportsmanship and the desire to participate. Thanks to all the coaches and assistants: Pierluigi Panza, Paolo Scimia, Giampiero Tartaglia, Marco Pezzopane Marzio Iacobucci and Alessandra Salvati, who have committed themselves with so many sacrifices to building this Great Group of Fantastic Athletes, pride for our city!”
