Yesterday, as part of an extraordinary control service of the territory, coordinated by the Commander of the Carabinieri Department of the Aspromonte National Park of Reggio Calabria, the soldiers of the CC Park Unit of Gambarie d’Aspromonte, with the collaboration of the soldiers of the Territorial Army of Sinopoli, of the Reggio Calabria Fire Brigade and of the Gambarie d’Aspromonte Volunteer Fire Brigade, returned to his family a 28-year-old individual who had lost his sense of direction while riding his bicycle on the dirt roads of Aspromonte. Fortunately, managing to get in touch with the emergency number 112, the young cyclist provided the coordinates of his position and, on the basis of this, the military personnel promptly directed their searches near the locality “Nino Martino”, agro of the municipality of Scilla, about 1800 meters above sea level. Having arrived on site, intensifying their efforts with the aim of avoiding the difficulties resulting from the imminent dusk, the forestry carabinieri managed to establish an initial contact with the missing young man, identifying the origin of the screams coming from the latter and reaching him , therefore, suddenly. Once the necessary medical checks and appropriate treatments had been completed, the subject still appeared to be in good health.

The positive conclusion of the event in question, the result of precious collaboration and operational synergy between the actors involved in the impervious theater of the events, gives prominence to the specific skills that distinguish the work of the Forestry Carabinieri within the National Park of Aspromonte.
