This ambitious initiative aims to promote innovation and collaboration between Social Economy Bodies in the territory of Triveneto and in the provinces of Ancona and Mantua. Expressions of interest must be received by 12:00 on September 20, 2024.

With a growing awareness of the importance of Social Economy Institutions within local communities, the program aims to promote the adoption of new collaboration models and the creation of entrepreneurial networks to generate social and territorial impact.

“In the current context characterized by high uncertainty and complexity” – he explains Gilberto Muraro, president of the Cariparo Foundation – “it has become increasingly important for Third Sector organizations to be able to immediately grasp the changing needs of the community, thus increasing the ability to respond to changes to generate positive impacts on the territory. With Foundation Open Factory we have created an experimental program that aims to stimulate new models and tools that can strengthen the effectiveness and positive effects of the action carried out by these operators. The objective is to promote the growth of skills, new economic opportunities and relationship networks within the Third Sector, a precious resource for our country”.

The 2024 edition of the Foundation Open Factory program will be dedicated to support of Social Economy Bodieswhich Social Enterprises, Social Cooperatives, Foundations and Associations operating in the reference territories of the Cariparo Foundation (Padua and Rovigo), Cariverona Foundation (Verona, Vicenza, Belluno, Ancona and Mantua) Caritro Foundation (Trento and Rovereto) and Sparkasse Foundation (Bolzano) active in the following areas: Art, Culture and Entertainment; Social-Health Services; Training and Work; Environment, Nature and Energy.

“The road towards renewal continually opens up new scenarios to look forward to” – he explains Anita Penati, general director of the Caritro Foundation. “The new Foundation Open Factory call represents another piece of the road to travel together, a stretch of the path that some third sector entities have undertaken in recent years thanks to this program. We continue on this path convinced that it is the right one to support non-profit organizations, putting them in contact with startups and companies that have developed solutions aimed at the future”.

They will be selected up to 11 entities or networks of entitieswho will have the opportunity to participate free of charge in a co-innovation and capacity building path lasting 12 weeks (with a total value of 15,000 euros, with costs borne directly by the Foundations participating in the program), aimed at implement and field test the solution proposed by an Innovative Entityidentified by the Foundation Open Factory team, in response to the expressed need.

These organizations will be assisted in the development of co-innovation projects aimed at strengthening their territorial impact and achieving greater sustainability through collaboration with startups, innovative SMEs and local partners.

“The data tells us that today 83% of large Italian companies and 44% of small and medium-sized enterprises adopt open and collaborative innovation practices” – he commented Filippo Manfredi, general director of the Cariverona Foundation – “And the percentages are constantly growing. The experiences of previous editions of Foundation Open Factory and the case studies confirm that open innovation is one of the most effective, safe and least risky paradigms for innovating. We are convinced that paths of this type can also bring real added value to third sector and social economy entities: we want to make new growth opportunities available to them, based on unprecedented synergies, to the benefit of the entire territory”.
