Denis Ceccato, the Forrest Gump of Veneto, traveled 300 km for a noble cause, joining three evocative departures, one of which was from the Verona Arena. This brave athlete, with his extraordinary determination and generosityundertook a marathon with a value that is not only sportingbut also humanitarian: the raising funds for cancer research.

There the race crossed 5 provincescapturing the attention of a large audience eager to contribute to such an important cause. His feat is not just a demonstration of physical resistancebut also a message from hope and solidarity for those who fight this disease.

The event, called “Veneto for Life” started on April 25th from Villa Contarini in Piazzola sul Brentawith a group of marathon runners determined to make a difference. On April 26, the route started from Villa Pisani in Stràwith a touching start ahead at the Veneto Oncology Institute in Paduaand then head towards the Santo di Padova and the Prato della Valle.

But the most evocative stage was that of April 27, when Denis Ceccato kicked off from the Verona Arena, facing him last 100 km of the route accompanied by other brave runners. The journey passed through various scenarios until reaching San Giorgio in Bosco, in the province of Padua.

This it’s not just a marathon, but a solidarity mission. The proceeds from the event were donated in support ofVeneto Oncology Institute of Paduacontributing to research, prevention, diagnosis and treatment of tumors. A gesture of extraordinary generosity that demonstrates how much the strength of the individual can do the difference in fighting one of the most feared diseases in the world.
