Students of Primo Levi in Lodosa

BADIA POLESINE (Rovigo) – Last Monday 22 April ended for the students of the 3rd afm and 3rd bsia classes of the “L. Einaudi” of the IIS Primo Levi of Badia Polesine, the second phase of the exchange with the IES Pablo Sarasate Institute of Lodosa.

It was a new and enriching experience that led the Italian kids to immerse themselves in a different reality and improve their intercultural and linguistic skills. The boys arrived at Lodosa on Monday 15th and were immediately welcomed with enthusiasm by the Spanish families. During the week the program of activities was very rich. At school, the students followed a short Basque language course, art, Spanish cuisine and theater lessons, tackling the study of new, educational and stimulating subjects.

They enjoyed creating a Gymkhana in the village of Lodosa, rich in traditions and popular festivals, they visited the city of Pamplona and the Nacedero del río Urederra nature reserve and finally they spent some free time, on Saturday and Sunday, with their host families who organized trips out of town.

The teachers involved, Mantovani and Imbriani, were able to appreciate the responsible behavior of the Italian children, who collaborated in the success of the initiative which gave good results from both a linguistic and human point of view.

“We are of the opinion – comments the professor Sarah Mantovani – that the school can and must repeat exchange experiences abroad like the one that took place this year, because beyond linguistic and cultural learning, students learn to take responsibility, to respect and accept even critical situations that can make the cultural and character differences of the exchange participants.”

The Headmaster was also satisfied Amos Golinelli “every experience that ends leaves behind the memory of the necessary organizational effort, but also the prospect of having our students repeat their linguistic experiences abroad, precisely because they are increasingly proving to be among the most formative. ”
