LECCE – Lecce will probably be a hybrid between the one that faced Sassuolo and the one that faced Roma. Mister Gotti remains cryptic as always, but between the lines he suggests that the lineup on the pitch will not be the one seen in Reggio Emilia against Sassuolo; and considering Almqvist’s return (he served his suspension) the probability that there will be some changes to the initial lineup is high. Then, as the coach has stated on other occasions, there is an initial match and one that could prove to be ongoing and we must be ready to change the structure.
It is unlikely that Gotti will give up Oudin (he is the one in charge of free kicks), so it is possible that he will re-propose a midfield with the Frenchman as a tall central defender and side players: Dorgu on the left and Almqvist on the right (already like this in the match against Empoli).
Ramadani will not yet be available for the match against the red and whites, struggling with an abscess in his neck. In Reggio Emilia Gotti bet on Rafia who teamed up with Blin along the midfield, this time he could make another choice:
“I am open to all solutions and evaluations”, says the mister. It is therefore probable that instead of the Albanian international, this time there will be Gonzalez teaming up with the captain, or that the coach will decide on a 4-3-3 with only Blin as a central midfielder.
This time too, in all likelihood, the Giallorossi coach will shuffle the cards.
The only thing that is certain is that we must remain focused on the objective, which has not yet been mathematically achieved:
“These are situations that are repeated in football, especially in teams fighting to save themselves; and in the Serie A championship there are moments of difficulty where often when you fight for salvation it is easier for you to lose matches than to win them. Professionals at this level need to know that it doesn’t count more or less salvationbut the salvation and that’s it, no more or less. Let’s enjoy the work done up to this point, but we still have to reach the goal”
In some ways Monza resembles Sassuolo, in others it does not. It must be approached with a different structure on the pitch. Gotti explains:
“Tomorrow’s match on paper has similarities to last Sunday’s match, Monza also has many quality players, but it gives the idea of being more of a team. Some things overlap with tomorrow’s match, others with the match against Roma, who want to manage and dominate the match as is the case Monza”.
